Lounging with Daddy!

I just love the weekends because Dad's with us and we do all sorts of fun things. On this particular Saturday we watched college football. It was September 26th so that means I'm 11 weeks!

Are you sure this is fun for you dad? I feel a little bored...
Lamby and I were just discussing dad's legs. :)
Mom, do lamby and I still have the same hairline?

I think I'd rather lay on my blanket and play with toys than watch college football. Sorry Daddy.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend we went up to North Dakota. There was so many people I wanted to meet in just three days! While we were up there my aunts Laurie and Liz threw a baby shower for me. I got lots of neat things and some nice warm clothes for this winter. All the Breidenbach ladies were so nice and they loved cuddling with me so I was happy about that! I shoudl've known I'd come out of that shower with a SIOUX HOCKEY jersey! My grandma bought me that and she says she'll take me to a couple games next year.
This is my great-aunt Laurie. She's my mom's god-mother.This is a bit dark but, that's Cindy holding me and cousin Karlie standing behind.
Whitney got engaged one day after this was taken and, she's asked me to be in her wedding as a flower-girl! Isn't that exciting?!?!
Devin is so nice, I can't wait to see her again!
Great-grandma Lottie just loved to hold me and sing "lou-lou." She sang this to my mom and grandma when they were babies!
This was towards the end of the night. After the shower we rushed home to see Grandpa, Danny, and Laura!
These are great friends of mommy's. Beth, Melissa, and Stella even came to my baptism on Saturday!
We also got to go visit Mildred on Friday. She's always been a close friend to the Skalet's and we wish we could see her more often.
After mom took these pictures, dad wheeled Mildred down to the cafeteria for lunch. All the ladies and nurses thought I was so cute..... a spitting image of dad they said!

On Saturday, grandma Connie and grandpa Mike had a reception for me out at their farm. Then, that evening in church I was baptized! Mom was very nervous about my reaction to the water since she'd witnessed first hand how loud I can scream during baths at home. I guess I impressed everyone though, just one short-lived cry and that was it.
Great-grandma Lottie bought me this beautiful baptism dress, don't I look like an angel?
Father Cavanaugh baptized me and, just over a year before this he married mommy and daddy!
The church gave me a little rosary, a baptismal candle, and that beautiful red rose that mom's holding.
Danny and Stella are my godparents
Four-generations.
The Scholands with grandma Lottie

Sunday was a nice relaxing day out at the farm. Some cousins came over and played some games outside, it was such a beautiful day! I started sleeping through the night(10pm-7am) while we were up there and I've been sleeping that ever since.

This is great-grandma Lottie's BFF Dorothy. She helped babysit me while mom and dad went and met with the priest before my baptism.
Hey Joyce, I got your finger!

a nice relaxing Sunday.......
I had such a good time up in Buxton and I can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving.

Lake Tansi, Tennessee

On August 15th we took off for Tennessee! We went to a lake cabin and spent a whole week with the Skalet family. I got to meet five of my cousins, three aunts, three uncles, and my grandpa! It was nice to see grandma Brenda again too, she thought I had changed quite a bit since she saw me in July. I had a little bit of trouble taking naps because I didn't want to miss a single thing! At the end of the day I was exhausted and, that meant 6-7 hour sleep stretches which mommy really appreciated!

I can't wait until next year when I'll be able to swim, ride in the boat, and play with my cousins.... maybe I'll even try skiing. :) I wonder if aunt Gail would teach me.....Here's the Skalet family in front of the lake. Next summer two more cousins will join the brew since Aunt Kathy and Aunt Gail are due in January.
Grandpa, does my skin look pastey against your Florida tan?

I love the kisses Dad gives me, minus the pokey beard!
As you can see, almost all of my hair had fallen out. For a while I looked like Dr. Phil but now I have hair again and it's coming back darker. I'm just happy I'll have hair to keep my head warm this winter!
Gavin turned 5 a couple weeks before this picture was taken.
Aunt Gail will have lots of help when her FOURTH BOY arrives!

I'll play with cousin Abigail again in Florida at Christmastime!
I've posted all my Lake Tansi pictures over at Snapfish!

Aunt Sue

Mom and dad were blessed to meet Sue Lang CNM when mom was about 28 weeks pregnant with me. They asked her if she would be there to deliver me and she agreed. On the day I was born she spent most of the day with mom and dad helping them manage labor pain. Mom had decided she didn't want any drugs to ease the pain and Sue was extremely supportive and helped make this possible. My family was blessed to meet Sue and when Mom had her check-up we were all happy to visit Sue again.Even though I was pretty fussy, Sue really enjoyed holding me and cuddling with me.
Here we are reminising about the night I was born.
Later that day I got to try out my bumbo seat. This was a gift from aunt Beth and I love it!
After I was all tuckered out from the day I got a bath and hardly screamed at all. :)

First Week

I had a very exciting first week! Grandma Brenda had been staying with mom and dad for about three days before I was born. She followed mom and dad to the hospital and stayed with them all day on Friday. She came back Saturday morning and spent the whole day with us. Saturday night Grandpa Mike, Grandma Connie, and Allison arrived from North Dakota. They stayed with us for a whole week. It sure is nice having such a great family!
Here I am sitting on my dad's lap. He sure is proud of his little girl. :)
I was pretty busy checking everything out!
Here I am sitting on Grandma Brenda's lap. She made me this cross-stitch for my bedroom wall. She's made one for all her grandkids and I'm the sixth!
This was Saturday night right after the Scholand's arrived. Grandpa Mike likes to cuddle with me.I'm on my way home from the hospital here.
As soon as we got home, I took a nap in my new crib.
Grandma Connie was crazy about me. I'm her very first grandchild!
The swing was a gift to me from mom and dad.

Hospital Pictures

Before we left the hospital on July 12th, a really nice lady came to take some pictures of me. I was a pretty good girl but, I did get a little chilled so then I had to let the lady know that my photoshoot was almost over. :)My very first picture and look how I'm already posing. Dad is going to have his hands full with me...
These pictures will look so nice in my baby book!
So peaceful....

I'll have to crop this blue glove out of this picture! Those are my dad's hands that I'm lying in.
