best buds

These two love with their whole heart. I love how they adore each other and show affection... their love is pure and genuine.
Norah flipped Henry's bouncy seat over to make a nice resting place for the two of them. They giggled and squealed, then laughed some more. I was laughing with them and thanking Jesus at the same time, for allowing me to stay home with them and soak these sweet memories in.

Henry was watching Norah dance in this picture. I can't wait to see what kind of dance moves he'll impress us with!

Happy Thursday!

reality

Henry is now 6 months old! He is an amazing little boy and, we love him so so much. He has two teeth on the bottom. He is (usually) sleeping from 7:15pm- 6:15am which, let me just take a moment here to PRAISE THE LORD! Ok... where was I.... He loves his big sister and she loves him right back. Henry can now sit up by himself and of course he is still strong as an ox.

He's still nursing about 5 times a day and, he's doing great eating rice cereal in the morning and then again around dinnertime. He's tried sweet potatoes, carrots, and pears; he seems to love them all. He weighs 20 lbs. 4 oz. (90th%) and is 27.5 inches long (84th%). He is healthy and, also the happiest baby we have ever seen! We are blessed to have him.

Now, here's what he has to deal with on a daily basis: the plethera of nicknames we've given him these last 6 months! Here are just a few: Henski, Hen skeet skeet skeet skeet(yes, 4 skeets!), Henn, Henni-bop, little man, Bear-tracks, tracks, and Henny. Oddly, there is one nickname we just don't call him.... HANK!

No greater joy.

This weekend was so similar to last weekend and I'm not complaining one single bit! Onesies, stroller rides, cold coffee drinks, bbq pulled pork sandwiches and chilling at home will do for me, we are all easy to please!
Henry got his first tooth this past week!
The sidewalk took a pretty nasty bite out of Norah's knee which, meant about an hour of cuddle time watching hockey with Joel. I think Henry enjoys flying down the slide with me as much as I do..... maybe.:)I love when these 3 congregate in the kitchen when I'm cleaning and cooking although, I think Henry's getting a little sick of the stroller! Norah brings her bible in the kitchen to sit by Henry and read to him. There's nothing quite like seeing your little girl find Jesus on the pages and proclaim, "Jesus!"

texting

So, I've always thought it was pretty cute to see Norah pretending to talk on my phone. I even wipe my phone down daily to keep it somewhat clean so she can play with it. Well, last week she figured out how to unlock my keyboard and now she pretends to text!!
I guess I thought it was pretty funny as I just snapped photo after photo all-the-while Norah was acting like she was doing some real important work. After she was done, she smiled and handed my phone back to me. Then two days later I realized she had deleted some of my contacts and even edited some phone numbers!

She's even sent a few messages too. She texted Joel this very important message on Saturday, "Q" and awhile back she texted my best friend, "I'm in a meeting." While I still think its ever-so-adorable.... I've learned my lesson! From now on, Norah will be playing with her toy phones!!

Park Season

This is the time when every single outdoor activity sounds like fun. From getting the mail to, tilling the flower bed, to bike rides to parks...... we're enjoying it all. Anything that gets us feeling that refreshing springtime air is welcome. I'm keeping busy trying to convince Joel that we need a patio set and a firepit. You can imagine I'm having the same success he had trying to convince me that we should make a skating rink in our back yard this past winter! Maybe I can convince Joel on this very blog that, a firepit would make a great Mother's Day gift! Hint Hint:) Anyway, this past weekend we made it to 3 parks around town so, it's now officially park season! This bike trailer is A-MAZING! Norah giggles as Joels pedals thru town and Henry falls asleep during the relaxing ride! They've worked the soil and now it's my turn.... what kind of flowers will I plant this year...hmm

Who says you have to be a kid to enjoy a park?!
Not too shabby!

Wordless Wednesday?

So I've seen some mama's in the blogging world make posts titled "wordless wednesday." I think this is brilliant especially when I think about how much time I spend trying to think of a post title! This morning, I couldn't for the life of me remember what month it was and what day of the week it was! I blame the kids for my complete memory loss.... but, my point is, today is a day where my brain just qon't turn on and I'm thankful for such a quirky idea. So, here's my "wordless wednesday" but..... with words.
