This Week

When we got back from our trip to Tennessee I had a runny nose. By Wednesday I had a runny nose, fever, and Mom could see that I was achey because I wasn't my normal energetic self. Today's Friday and I'm starting to feel a little bit better. Lots of rest for me this past week!!
Even though I'm sick, I'm still a big help to Mom. See how I took all these kleenex's out of the box?!You're welcome Mommy!Daddy giving me a bath.I sat like this for about 5 minutes until Mom realized I was falling asleep.

Playing before Mommy's doctor's appointment. Please Mom, no more pictures!

Mommy's 16 week appointment went really well today. I even got to hear the baby's heartbeat. 155 bpm and the baby even kicked the scanner; maybe a little soccer player in there?? Mom's been feeling the baby kick for a couple weeks now! At the next doctor's appointment we'll find out how the baby's developing (10 fingers, 10 toes, spine, etc.) and hopefully we'll be able to find out if I'm going to have a little brother or sister. We pray that the pregnancy continues to go smoothly and the baby grows strong and healthy.

My Grandma Brenda turned 60 on the 27th of April so we got to celebrate by getting the Skalet's together out in the Smoky Mountains. We left Friday and came back on Tuesday night. I had a really great time. I went swimming for the very first time, did some shopping, and went for an amazing hike with everyone. This was also my first time meeting my cousin Gage and my cousin Kaleb. They were both born in January and I was so happy to finally play with them. Here I am holding on tight to Daddy during our hike. It was a beautiful hike with waterfall at the top. I even got to see a real bear! All four of Grandma's kids lighting her birthday candles!!Great job Grandma!Grandpa Keith had a diamond put in Grandma's wedding ring to replace the one that fell out many years ago. I think she was surprised..... and very happy!!:)It was very cold this morning and between pictures the babies would get wrapped up with blankets and warmed up. I'm glad I still fit into the "baby" category!!Daddy, Joy, Gail, Keith, Grandma Brenda, and Grandpa KeithHere's Keith, Kathy, Keith Jr., and little Kaleb. I think Kaleb and I will have lots of fun together when we get a bit bigger. Here's Joy, Tony, and Abigail. We really enjoyed sharing a cabin with them and visiting with them. Travis, Gail, Grady, Gavin, Gunnar, and Gage. Baby Gage and Kaleb are only about a week apart! Here's another of my famous expressions.
Our family of three.
Grandma Brenda with OrinWHOA!!! Little windy out here!!!I love when Daddy doesn't have to go to work. We had lots of quality time.
Mom and I just starting our day. This was my first time swimming and I absolutely loved it. Dad pulled me around in my floaty and I only had to glare at Uncle Keithie once when he splashed me.This is awesome!!!Even Gunnar liked my pink floaty!

Gavin has become a really good swimmer. I wonder if he'll teach me when I get bigger.

9 Months Old!!!

I can almost smell the frosting on my birthday cake!!! Only 3 months and I'll be a whole year old??!! This past month has been a very busy but, amazing month for our family. I started to dance when I hear music, I can now wave bye-bye, I double-fist cheerio's on a daily basis, and I've become very ticklish. I have mastered crawling in reverse but, haven't figured out going forward yet. I always get to my destination though.... eventually.

I had my 9 month checkup and my doctor said I was a bit small for my age. I weigh 16 lb. 8oz. which puts me in the 12th percentile and I'm 27 inches long which puts me in the 30th percentile for height. My head is in the 66th percentile so that's why Mommy has so much trouble getting my shirts over my head. After we left the doctor's office we picked up some apple and pear juice, some gerber puffs, cheerios, and lots of good baby food. I caught on to eating cheerios and puffs right away and Mom sometimes needs to remind me to eat one at a time.
My first time snacking on cheerios. Yummy.I'm also making Daddy and Mommy laugh everyday with my silly face expressions.SUPER NORAH!!!! Dad found this hanky and thought it would look good on me. Do you think I look like a super-hero?

I even help Mom knit!! I help take the yarn off the skain and sometimes I surprise Mom when she gets to a wet section of yarn!!! Oops, sorry about that....Don't worry, I wasn't upset, this is just another one of my very silly faces. :) I stay busy playing and with toys and scooting around the house. The weather has been so nice here, we've been able to go for walks almost every night. This particular night we walked over to a McDonalds and got shakes. Daddy put his pepsi in one of my stroller cupholders and sure enough, I showed him how far I can reach and I poured the whole pepsi on myself. I didn't cry though and Mom didn't mind carrying me all the way home. We were both soaked and hopped in the bathtub right away.

I don't have any other teeth yet besides my bottom two but, by the amount of drool on this shirt it looks like I may have more soon!
