2nd Annual Holiday Party!

Stella and I hosted our 2nd Holiday Party last month... and when I say Stella and I.... I mean, Stella did most of the work and I just helped.:) We had decided last year after our first party that 2011 would bring a Mexican theme and Mexican food to the table. Everything was perfect; a Mexican theme brings such a fun atmosphere... and delicious appetizers too!

Everyone had such a great time.... and Stella and I have already decided on theme and menu for next year! I can't wait! Here are just a few pictures..
These above pictures were taken while we were waiting for our guests to arrive in event that Taste of Home magazine wants to run a story on us and our party.
My 100% Norwegian husband was "Saoul" for the evening. We all used our names from our high school Spanish class.
The girls table was the high top table. Each place setting included a wine glass, salsa bowl, plate, name card and paper mustache. The guys table was a smaller folding table(let's face it, this party's really for the girls:) with all the same setting except a beer glass instead of the wine glass.
Thanks for having us, Stella and Andy!
The girls, minus Melissa.
The whole crew. Melissa must've been feeding that sweet little Ruby-licious during the girls picture. Ruby was about almost 3 weeks old this night... isn't she the sweetest little thing?!?
Just try to look at the above picture with a straight face.... it cannot be done.

After our group pictures, we all took individual mug shots with the sombero, a mustache and our name cards. Andy was "Augusto." We laughed so hard that we had tears running down our cheeks during these pictures(I'm decided not to post them on here).
Ok, maybe just one of my date and I...
Joel held Ruby for over an hour while she slept and he was. in. heaven.

This party took place the night before Thanksgiving which really got me thinking, I am SO thankful for great friends who make time to get together whenever we're in town. I'm also SO SO thankful for a family who LOVES babysitting Norah and Henry so, Joel and I can get away every now and then.
